Drop off Recycling Facility
The Colby Farm Lane (formerly Crow Lane) Recycling Center is the first gated left after the farm on Colby Farm Lane, off Low Street, at the intersection of North Atkinson.
Open the first Saturday of every month, 8:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, except holidays, when it opens the second Saturday of the month and in September which is our annual Hazardous Waste Day. Please see the Hazardous Waste Link for dates and information.
We’re often open on Thursdays, from 12:15 to 2:15. to be sure call ahead at the Health Department, 978-465-4410, ext. 1.
A recycling and trash pick-up calendar is included in the Health Dept. Guidelines that is mailed to all residents and businesses in June. Retain the calendar for year-round reference.
How do I recycle hazardous waste?
We accept recyclable items that are not included in curbside recycling pick-up, including some hazardous waste.

Is recycling mandatory?
All residents and businesses are required to separate recyclable material from trash according to the City’s Health and Sanitation Ordinance, Chapter 8, Article III, Division 1.
Proof of residency is required. Fees (see below) apply for most materials. For more information call our Recycling & Sustainability Department at 978-499-0413.
