MassCEC Funding

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) is a state economic development agency dedicated to accelerating the growth of the clean energy sector across the Commonwealth to spur job creation, deliver statewide environmental benefits and to secure long-term economic growth for the people of Massachusetts.

MassCEC works to increase the adoption of clean energy while driving down costs and delivering financial, environmental, and economic benefits to energy users and utility customers across the state.

MassCEC is publicly funded by the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust Fund and funds more than 40 programs, including:

  • Rebates, vouchers, and loans to residents looking to install renewable energy technologies in their homes
  • Rebates and technical assistance to businesses looking to increase their clean energy output
  • Programs that help local governments and non-profits take control of their energy futures, protect the environment, and stabilize energy costs.

MassCEC also fosters collaboration among the industry, state government, research universities, and the financial sector to advance the state’s clean energy economy. They partner with policy-makers, employers, job seekers, students, municipal governments, communities, schools, industry experts, technology incubators, academics, business accelerators, energy consumers, clean energy installers, environmental advocates and the innovators who are developing the next generation of clean energy and water technologies.
