Mission Statement

The Mission of the City of Newburyport Department of Public Services is to provide programs and services to the community that support the maintenance and improvement of the city’s infrastructure, which includes; roadways, sidewalks, drainage systems, the City's 26 Parks, its trees, cemeteries and grounds, water quality, water distribution, sewer system, fleet & equipment and municipal buildings. Our goal is to maintain and improve infrastructure in a safe, cost effective and environmentally sensitive manner to foster sustainable options for the current and future benefit of the city and the environment.
