PLEASE NOTE: You have 30 days from your date of hire to enroll in health and dental insurance or waive your right to health coverage. You cannot change coverage unless you experience a Qualifying Life Event such as a birth, marriage, divorce or loss of insurance and then you have 30 days from the Qualifying Life Event to notify Human Resources and make changes to your coverage.
If you waive your right to health coverage, your next opportunity to enroll for benefits is during the City’s annual benefits open enrollment period in the Spring for July 1st effective date.
