This is a fully REMOTE Joint Meeting of the School Committee and the City Council pursuant to the Charter of the City of Newburyport in order to appoint a candidate to the open position on the School Committee. This open position is due to the fact that Sean Reardon, who was on the School Committee, is now serving as our 69th Mayor. Since the Charter prohibits such a person from holding two municipal positions, a vacancy has occurred. The position will be to fulfill the remaining two years of the term. Resumes  and letters of interest are due in the Clerk's office by Noon time on Friday, January 7, 2022
