Jennie L. Donahue

Jennie Donahue is the Ward 2 City Councillor for Newburyport. She is a lifelong resident of Newburyport and lives on Cherry Street with her husband Patrick and son Olyver. Jennie is legally blind.

 

Prior to joining the City Council, she had served on the Commission for Disabilities for ten years; 9 years as Chair. Through her work on the NCOD, Jennie has gained insight into the city's operations and what can be done to make the city more inclusive for all its residents and visitors. She continues to serve as non-voting City Council liaison for the NCOD.

 

As Councillor, Donahue serves on Community Services, Public Works and Safety, and the Economic Development Steering Committee. She previously served on the Ad Hoc Committee for Adaptive Use of the Brown School.
