Plum Island Point Beach & Parking Lot

The Harbormaster Department manages and operates the Plum Island Point Beach & Parking Lot located on the northern end of the island.

Parking Lot

Our parking lot is able to accommodate 121 vehicles. Please enter the parking lot using the entrance adjacent to 278 Northern Blvd, Newburyport, MA 01950. Entrance through Reservation Terrace will not be permitted and any vehicles found entering there are subject to fines and towing.

Note: If you arrive before the lot attendant is on duty, an envelope will be placed on your car and your information will be recorded. You can pay the price on the envelope when exiting the lot or simply put your payment in the envelope and add a stamp and mail it to our office. Failure to pay an envelope within two weeks of parking will result in additional fees and potentially a citation. 

Newburyport Resident Discount Sticker

Discount stickers are available at the Harbormaster Office located at 27 Rear Water St, Newburyport, MA 01950 (behind the Custom House Maritime Museum on the waterfront). Please check our office hours before coming to the office. 

There is no fee to obtain your resident discount sticker, but you will have to pay a discounted fee at the lot each time you go. These fees are $10 on weekdays and $12 on weekends & holidays.
