Please note records that are over 100 years old (1926 or older) are considered genealogical requests and require research. This currently may take up to 30 days. Please email the request to clerk@newburyportma.gov before ordering. If the record is located, an order may be placed.

In Person
Certified copies of birth, death, and marriage records may be obtained from the City Clerk's Office at Newburyport City Hall. You may appear in person during normal business hours. Records are $10 per certified copy.
In Writing
To request certified copies of a vital record, please write us a letter with the name(s), date of record, and mailing address. All written requests must include payment of $12 per certified copy and a self-addressed, stamped envelope for return.
