Amend the Newburyport Zoning Ordinance to subdivide the existing R-2 Residential District utilizing the same boundaries as the existing Demolition Control Overlay District (DCOD), so as to establish a new “R2A” District encompassing those portions of R-2 located outside said DCOD, and/or to establish additional R2 district subdivisions and neighborhood boundaries (e.g. “R2B”) for purposes of also varying the baseline dimensional requirements within each such area/neighborhood of the present R2 District, and to reduce the height allowance for single- and two-family structures within said R2A District from 35’ to 25’.
