Streets & Sidewalks Improvement Update from DPS Director, Kim Turner
The City’s 2026 Streets & Sidewalks Program is now underway. Residents may notice temporary “No Parking” signs posted from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on impacted streets through the remainder of this week and likely into early next week as casting work and reclaiming begin.
Streets scheduled for reclaiming include:
• Lt. O’Leary Road
• Cutters Court
• Marquand Lane
• Griffin Court
• Allen Street
• Norman Avenue
• Iona Avenue
• The end of Ocean Avenue
Current anticipated schedule:
Casting work: through the end of this week
Reclaiming: through next week
Binder paving: beginning the week of June 1
Sidewalk work (Allen, Norman, Goldsmith & High Street near St. Paul’s Church): expected mid-June
Final paving: timing TBD and will be communicated closer to the work
Residents may experience brief driveway access interruptions (approximately 5–10 minutes), but extended closures are not anticipated.
Later this season, milling work is also planned for portions of Moseley Avenue, Rawson Avenue, and Goldsmith Street. Additional updates and timing will be shared as work approaches.
