RFP-Solar Alternative On-Bill Credits (ABOC)
The City of Newburyport is soliciting Request For Proposals to receive solar Alternative On-Bill Credits (AOBC) as provided for under the SMART program through Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources. The City seeks up to approximately 10,000 megawatt hours (MWH) of AOBC under a 20 year agreement. In addition to AOBC for the City this RFP requests offerings that will provide benefits to the City residents and businesses in conjunction with community solar (CS). The City can accept approximately 140,000 MWH of CS offtake.
Bid documents will be available on Monday, January 14th at 10:00am by emailing Molly Ettenborough at mettenborough@cityofnewburyport.com. Bid deadline for AOBC from a Solar Generating Facility are due Wednesday, January 30 at 2pm. If City Hall is closed due to uncontrolled events, such as weather, fire or building evacuation, bid deadline and opening will be postponed for 24 hours. Questions will be accepted until 10am on Wednesday, January 23rd via email only to metternborough@cityofnewburyport.com. Commencement of this project is anticipated to begin around February 25, 2019.
