*UPDATED DATES* Hale St Construction 8/16 & 8/17 - Traffic Detoured
UPDATE 8/14/23 - Due to incoming weather conditions, the repair will take place on Wednesday, August 16th and Thursday, August 17th.
The Department of Public Services (DPS) has discovered a failed culvert near #31 Hale Street. The culvert requires repair and will be completed by DPS together with our contractor from Tuesday, August 15th to Wednesday, August 16th. DPS estimates the repair will take at least two days and will require a complete 48-hour roadway closure. If everything proceeds as planned, we hope to reopen the roadway on the morning of Thursday, August 17th. Vehicles are encouraged to follow the detour that uses Low Street, to Storey Avenue, to Turkey Hill Road for southbound Hale Street traffic and Turkey Hill Road, to Storey Avenue to Low Street for northbound Hale Street traffic. Abutters will be allowed access up to the construction site on both sides of Hale Street.
