Route 113 (Storey Ave.) Notice of Night Work
Sunday evening, May 20th through Friday morning July 6th
Newburyport – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announces nighttime roadway construction operations will begin on Sunday night May 20th and continue nightly, Sunday nights through Friday mornings (8:00pm-5:00am), weather permitting until July 6th.
The work zone includes Route 113 from the West Newbury Town line to High Street, the bridge deck over I-95, and the Exit 57 ramps. Road work includes milling of the existing pavement, bridge deck repairs, drainage structures, traffic signal work, new pavement and pavement markings.
Signs, traffic control devices, variable message boards and uniformed police officers will be used to guide drivers through the work zone.
The work is being performed by Brox Industries as part of Contract # 86199 valued at $16,973,774.00.
MassDOT encourages drivers to reduce speed and use caution while approaching and traveling through the work zone and to allow for extra time through this area during all periods of the day and night. All work is weather dependent and is subject to change without notice.
