Night Work Scheduled for Mass DOT’s Route 1 Project

There will be some nighttime milling operations next week on the current Route 1 project. Most of it will be in sections with lane shift. North and South bound are separated by guardrail and will be handled by Northbound first and then Southbound. Milling should take about 6 nights, starting on/around Sunday, 5/5 and ending on/around Monday, 5/13. The schedule is not locked in stone as milling is weather dependent and could change if an issue comes up. Below are the details:

Night 1 Northbound - MBTA Bridge to just north of Pomodori

Night 2 Northbound - just North of Pomodori to Pond St

Night 3 Northbound - Pond St to Merrimac St

Night 4 Southbound - Merrimac St to Pond St

Night 5 Southbound - Pond St to Rotary

Night 6 Southbound - Rotary to the MBTA Bridge
