Covid-19 Update

Newburyport has started to see an uptick in Covid-19 cases, consistent with state and regional trends. Numbers are still low, but have been rising each of the last four weeks, and they are most likely an undercount because fewer cases are being reported to the State. More information on Covid and the state’s response can be found here: https://www.mass.gov/coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19

The City will be holding a vaccine clinic at the Senior Community Center at 331 High Street on Thursday, September 21st from 11am to 2pm. Community members will be able to receive vaccines for Covid, Shingles, Flu and/or Pneumonia at this clinic. You can reserve an appointment here: https://www.shaws.com/vaccinations/group-clinic/Newburyport

The City has Covid-19 rapid test kits available for free for residents. They can be picked up in City Hall during normal business hours, 8am-4pm Monday through Wednesday, 8am-7pm on Thursday, and 8am-12pm on Friday.
