Mayor Sean Reardon is pleased to announce the launch of the City’s newly redesigned website. The new website was created with input from city staff and residents and aims to provide a more modern design, an improved user experience, and easier access to useful information and functions.

“I’m very appreciative of the community members and staff who helped guide this process,” said Mayor Reardon. “One of my goals for this year is to improve access and outreach to residents, and improving our digital presence is a huge piece of this.”

The site was designed by the City’s web services company, Civic Plus, and it followed community surveys, staff focus groups, and resident feedback to better understand how to improve the design and functionality. Residents also supplied pictures for the City to feature on the website, and will receive photo credits for sharing their images. The City intends to continue adding pictures they receive from the community in the future.

The URL is currently unchanged at www.cityofnewburyport.com.

The City is also proud to provide residents with a new activity registration system and website, the Registration and Reservation HUB through the MyRec.com Recreation Management platform. This will be the city’s portal for registration for Youth Services and other recreation programs, for reserving city parks for events and programs, and to book events at the Senior/Community Center.

Residents who frequently use this site can create accounts to have their information saved that will automatically fill their registration forms. This new platform consolidates the multiple systems previously used for reservations, and aims to simplify these processes for residents.

“We will continue to look for ways to better serve residents with their needs, including making more services available online and continuing to make the website easier to use,” Reardon said.
