An optional pre-bid conference will be held on site at 149 High Street, Newburyport, MA at 1:00 pm on December 6, 2023 (meet at the corner of High and Auburn St on the existing basketball court, located at the NW corner of the park). Prospective bidders are encouraged to visit the project site to become familiar with the existing conditions prior to submitting their bid. Scope of Work for the Bartlet Mall Frog Pond Restoration Project includes but is not limited to: installation of erosion controls, pond dewatering, fountain removal, restoration, and re-installation, installation of water quality pipes and methane venting system, installation of liner system consisting of geogrid, HDPE/LDPE liner, armor stone, and benthic sediment, installation of wet well, pump, drywells, bedrock well, and pumphouse, preparation of pond perimeter for granite seat-height blocks, grading and installation of walkway materials as noted, installation of dock, installation of planting around the perimeter of the pond, restoration of upland as needed, and any potential add alternates as listed.
