Short-Term Rental Units

A Short-Term Rental Unit (STRU) refers to the use of a dwelling unit, or any bedroom within, for residential occupancy for a period of fewer than 30 consecutive days. STRUs are allowed within certain parameters and there are rules and regulations you must follow to legally rent out your residence as a STRU.

Important information about the licensing process is contained within the Short-Term Rental Unit Guide.  Please read the Guide before proceeding with the Short-Term Rental Unit License Application.

STRUs require inspections of the property to ensure conformance with Building, Health, and Fire codes.  See the Inspection Checklist for requirements.

To lodge a complaint against a specific STRU, please use the Short-Term Rental Unit Enforcement Request application.
