Request forms for MLCs can be found here under LINKS and submitted to the Treasurer's office in writing along with a $25.00 fee per parcel. This document is recorded at the Essex County Registry of Deeds in Salem, Massachusetts. It may list any outstanding property taxes and utilities at the time of request. It also contains record owner, property, location, value assessment, land area and book and page of recorded deed.
Motor Vehicle Excise Tax:
The Treasurer/Collectors Office mails excise bills throughout the year as we receive the vehicle information from the Registry of Motor Vehicles. The excise tax bills are due 30 days from the date of issue. Each vehicle is billed per calendar year, for the months a registration plate is in possession. Additional info can be found under LINKS.
Boat Excise Tax:
Boat excise tax is assessed for prior season and collected on an annual basis, according to the schedule in the Assessor's Office.
