The Office of the City Clerk in historic Newburyport serves as an important link to residents, visitors and to municipal government providing services essential to the day-to-day needs of the general public and city agencies.
 
We provide support to the City Council, manage the Parking Program, offer Passport Services, manage the local and state Elections, oversee the sale and issuance of Raffle Permits, Permits for Storage of Flammable Materials, Auto Dealers Licenses, Sign Permits, Block Party Permits, Resident and Employee Parking Permits, Business CertificatesVital Records, and other miscellaneous permits.
