City Hall Report From UMass

Get info on Insulation rebates then recommend staged approach to City Hall: get insulation work done first, then Roof, then HVAC.  Check if windows are historic.  Maybe New window for Mayor’s office and CC Chambers, inside storms elsewhere.  Check with Mike Bartlett for time he spends maintaining current system and dealing with AC and fans.

Schools update

Steve B. retiring in 1yr.  Recommend a city wide facilities manager as replacement.  Roofs on HS opportunity for insulation and solar.  Schools are working with Guardian

Reorg Subcoms

Need new chair for Buildings.  Maybe split into 2: Muni buildings and residential?  Need same focus on Non-profit and low income.  No volunteers for Vice Chair of EAC, Define Roll

City Hall: Kim Turner has put together a facilities master plan, should talk to her and set up plan. Add Mike Bartlett

Check w/Nexamp on batterie status

Need to get arms around Federal funding

     OPM should be responsible

     Consulting Firm that is up to date on Fed incentives

        MAPC, MVPC, Power Options, Larry Chretian, Pauliina

Buildings: Working on presentation for specialized code for September.

Buildings Up proposal due mid July

Renewable oil for homes: Lombardi 30%, Broco up to 100%

 

Transportation:

Fed grant for level 3 charger June 15

Roadmap for 192 public charging stations

Minco will have 50 charging stations, some will be public

School Bus Grant

Hybrid police vehicles as alternative
