What Are The Hours of Operation for the Recycling Center and Yard Waste Facility?
Colby Farm Lane Recycling Center
The Colby Farm Lane (formerly Crow Lane) Recycling Center is the first gated left after the residential area on Colby Farm Lane, off Low Street, at the intersection of North Atkinson. The address is 23A Colby Farm Lane. It is open the first Saturday of every month, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, except the months of July and September. Additional hours of operation are Mondays and Thursdays from 12:15 PM to 2:15 PM (weather permitting).
Yard Waste Facility
The 2024 season will run from the 1st Tuesday in April through the 2nd Sunday in December, weather permitting.
Hours are Tuesdays - Saturdays from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM (may be closed for lunch from 11:30-12 PM).
You MUST purchase a yard waste sticker and be a resident of Newburyport in order to use the yard waste facility. You may purchase a yard waste sticker online (use this link to see the Online Payments Center web page). If you do not own a computer or have trouble purchasing a sticker online, we at the Recycling Department can assist you.
