Invitation for Bids

Sealed bids for furnishing the following LABOR AND MATERIALS will be received by the City of Newburyport, through an Electronic Bidding Process hosted by www.projectdog.com for project #839319 until the time specified below at which time the bids will be publicly released online for review by all.

 

PUBLIC WORKS PROJECT                   BID SUBMISSION DEADLINE AND BID OPENING

 

                               

Bid Documents will be released by Projectdog and available on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 10:00am.

 

The Work entails the construction of an off-road 10-foot hot mix asphalt shared use path along Parker Street from State Street to approximately 400-feet east of the State Street intersection, including intersection improvements at State Street, as shown on the Plans and stated in the Specifications.  The Work includes, but is not limited to, mill and overlay of existing pavement; earthworks; hot mix asphalt paving; hot mix asphalt shared use path construction; installation of a HAWK signal; timber guardrail installation; replacement of portions of driveways; erosion control; wetland replication; installation of drainage structures and pipes; installation of a concrete headwall; adjusting utility castings; fine grading; loaming and seeding; traffic management; and planning/coordinating with National Grid for gas and electric infrastructure improvements.

 

All bids for this project are subject to the applicable bidding laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including, but not limited to, General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M, as amended.  The estimated value of this contract is $444,000.  There will be a pre-bid meeting on site on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 1:00.  Prospective bidders are encouraged to visit the project site to become familiar with the existing conditions prior to submitting their bid.  There are no filed sub-bids for this project.
