(EDITED) Indigenous Peoples' Day Event on Sunday, October 8th

This event will now take place on Sunday, October 8th due to expected rain on Saturday. The event will still begin at 10am. 

Newburyport will host an Indigenous Peoples’ Day Observance on Sunday, October 8th at Waterfront Park, starting at 10am. The event will feature a speaking program including Mayor Reardon and Council President Shand and will be followed by music, drumming, storytelling, and many other cultural presentations that will honor all Native Peoples. The City’s DEI Alliance is partnering with Imagine Studios and other groups to make this event possible.
