City of Newburyport Trick-or-Treat Events

Trick or Treat Schedule

The City of Newburyport has a number of exciting Halloween events coming up, and we want to share the details on trick-or-treating in particular.

Our first event takes place this Thursday, October 26th from 5-6pm, as we invite kids to trick-or-treat in City Hall. Join Mayor Reardon, other local elected officials and city employees at 60 Pleasant Street as brigades of costumed youngsters descend on City Hall with the hopes of filling their buckets with candy. Our new favorite tradition, City Hall Trick or Treat will take place on Thursday, October 26th from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at 60 Pleasant Street.

The very next day, the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce brings us Downtown Trick- or-Treat on Friday, October 27th from 4 – 5 p.m. Downtown and Tannery businesses will be participating in this event and will have candy for costumed kids. Finally, the Newburyport Police Department has posted recommended Trick-or-Treating hours throughout the City of Newburyport as Halloween evening, Tuesday, October 31st from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Residents who want to participate should activate their outside lights during this time. Parents and children should avoid any homes where outside lights are not activated. Parents and children should all wear light colored /reflective clothing and use flashlights to warn motorists of their presence.

We hope everyone has a festive, safe, and fun Halloween!
