City Hosting Pride Events June 2nd and 3rd

The City of Newburyport is excited to be hosting two events to mark the beginning of LGBTQ+ Pride month this weekend.

On Friday, June 2nd at 4pm, there will be a ceremonial raising of the Pride Flag at 4pm at City Hall, 60 Pleasant Street. We are very honored to be welcoming special keynote speaker Governor Maura Healey, who will join Mayor Sean Reardon, music group Soundbridge Union, and other special guests for the ceremony. There will be special Pride Whoopie Pies, donated by Chococoa Baking Co. for attendees.

On Saturday, June 3rd, the City will host Newburyport's first Pride Parade! The parade will take place at 12:00pm and will start at the Bartlet Mall and process down Green Street towards the Waterfront. The Parade will conclude at the Waterfront Park, where participants are encouraged to join in the festivities for Spring Fest, hosted by the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
