State of the City Address
On January 25th, 2023, Mayor Sean Reardon will give the State of the City Address, which will include updates on the City’s accomplishments throughout 2022, and its priorities for the year ahead. The Mayor looks forward to providing this important information the City Council, state and federal elected officials, and the greater Newburyport Community. The program will begin at 7pm in the City Hall Auditorium. City Council President Heather Shand and State Senator Bruce Tarr will also speak, and City Clerk Richard Jones will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
At the conclusion of the address, Mayor Reardon will present awards recognizing Newburyport community members for their public and community service. The Onward, Forward! Public Service Award will honor a city employee, board or commission volunteer, or elected official who has gone above and beyond in their service to the city. In addition, three community service awards will recognize individuals, businesses, and youth who have made significant positive contributions to Newburyport.
The event is open to the public and the auditorium will open at 6:30pm. The event can be viewed on NCM Hub on Channel 9 and online.
