Paid Parking Information & Map

All resident and employee parking permits can be submitted/renewed online here:

Please note: Permit applications and renewals will not be processed over the counter.
If you choose to apply/renew in person, bring COPIES of the following documents to leave for processing;
1. license
2. vehicle registration
3. recent utility bill or lease
4. check payable to "City of Newburyport" for amount due

PARKING LOT PERMITS
July 1 - June 30
Lots are enforced:
April 1 - December 31 Monday-Saturday 8am-8pm & Sunday 12pm-6pm
January 1 - March 31 Monday-Saturday 8am-6pm & Sunday 12pm-6pm
-Resident Permit $15/year
-Senior Resident Permit (Age 65+) $5/year

EMPLOYEE PERMITS
-Employee Permits $60/Quarter  /  $240/year
includes the parking garage Titcomb St. entrance and the employee municipal lots

PARKING GARAGE PERMITS
Please note: Vehicles must be uncovered and moved every seven (7) days. Permits may not be used for long term vehicle storage.
The garage is open and enforced 24 hours.
Hourly parking is available at the Titcomb Street entrance for $1.00 per hour.  
-Resident Permit $60/mo  /  $720/year
 
RESIDENTIAL STREET PERMITS
January 1 - December 31
Street parking is enforced:
April 1 - October 31 Monday-Sunday 8am-8pm
November 1 -  March 31 Monday-Saturday 8am-6pm
This permit is $10/year to eligible residents who reside on streets with posted time limits. 
 
CONSTRUCTION AND MOVING PERMITS

If you are having work done on your home and do not have parking spaces for construction vehicles, you can, in most cases, purchase a construction permit. There is a fee of $3 per day for construction permits on streets with resident permit parking. In the parking lots there is a fee of $10.00 per space per day.

If you are moving you may come to the clerk's office (or call the office) and request a sign for the moving van/truck. There is no charge.

Parking Lot Payment
Please note parking sessions are license plate and zone based. Correct information must be entered to avoid citations.
There are two methods of payment for parking in the lots:
1. Pay at Kiosk - The kiosks accept exact change (coins, bills) and credit cards.
2. Pay by Mobile App register for free at http://m.ppprk.com
