Thank You Breakfast
To thank volunteers for their hard work the commission hosts a continental breakfast beginning at 9 a.m. at Cashman Park. Past breakfasts have been sponsored by Starbuck's, Abraham's Bagels, Greta's Great Grains, Newburyport Five Cent Savings Bank, SemiSweet Bakery, and Shaw's Supermarkets.


 

Clean Sweep

Each year the Newburyport Parks organizes a city-wide cleanup called the Clean Sweep. Volunteers from throughout the community pick up trash, clean up after winter storm damage and otherwise spruce up parks and public spaces, readying the city for warmer weather.

Cleanup Sites
The commission targets city parks and playgrounds, athletic fields, the rail trail, Joppa Flats, downtown and the waterfront. Sites include:
