Employee Benefits
General information: Benefits are available to employees with regular full-time positions, working at least 20 hours per week.  Employees may enroll in the programs that they choose within the first 60 days of employment, counted from the first day of work. There is an Employee Assistance Program available to employees and household members 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  This is a Confidential Counseling and Referral Service. Employee Assistance Program

Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) for Employees and Retirees on City Health Plan
A HRA has been established to support employees and retirees with extraordinary prescription costs. During Fiscal Year 2015, if you spend more than $500 for prescription co-pays when on an individual plan or more than $1000 for prescription co-pays when on a family plan, you will be reimbursed for the additional amount you spend.  To receive the reimbursement you need to send your pharmacy print-outs to Human Resources, 60 Pleasant Street-PO Box 550, Newburyport, MA 01950. 

For those who are applying for reimbursement for Fiscal Year 2014, receipts will NOT be accepted after 7/15/2014.
