Meals On Wheels are delivered most weekdays to older adults who are homebound and/or unable to provide a midday meal for themselves. A small donation is requested, payable monthly after invoice is received.

Daily Lunches

Reserve your lunch by visiting the COA Office or calling (978) 462-0430 at least a week in advance. Our Nutrition Site Coordinator must have accurate counts to ensure that all are fed.

Those who prefer to-go meals should indicate their preference when registering.

A $2 voluntary donation is requested to help defray costs.

Some menus will appear in the bi-monthly newsletter. Once provided by our vendor, luncheon menus will be available at the COA Office and listed above. Please note that there may be slight deviations in the menus depending on ingredient availability, etc.

Traveling Chef Meals

Festive Traveling Chef meals are offered on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. 

We are grateful to The Greater Newburyport Village and the Friends of the Newburyport Council on Aging for sponsoring the Traveling Chef Meals!

Our Neighbors' Table provides provisions to residents throughout Merrimack Valley, including Newburyport.  

Our Neighbors’ Table’s grocery programs are currently operating in an open market, in-person shopping model. Deliveries can be requested for homebound consumers.

SNAP Benefits

70% of Newburyport residents who qualify for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits do not take advantage of this essential service.

SNAP benefits include:
• Monthly funds on an EBT card to buy food
• $40, $60 or $80 a month put back on your EBT card when you use SNAP to buy local produce via HIP (the Healthy Incentives Program)
• SNAP Path to Work free education and training opportunities
• Free nutrition education classes and resources

Farmer's Market Coupons

Each August, Senior Nutrition Agencies such as COAs,  distribute Farmers' Market Coupons to eligible seniors.

Call your LOCAL COA to request coupons if you are eligible.  Check your status here:
