Below is a summary of the renewal terms:

  • Operating Annual Support (Franchise Fee) increased from 4.00% to 4.30% of Gross Revenue

    • PortMedia allocation of at least 3.6% (~$3,818,000 over 10 years)

    • City Technology allocation of up to 0.7% (~$742,000 over 10 years)

      • Portion to be used to buildout municipal fiber network

  • Expanded definition of “Gross Annual Revenue”

    • Adds ~$196,000 support over 10 years

  • PEG Capital Grant for PortMedia technology ($305,000 within 60 days of license)

  • Upgraded connections to/from 4 city sites

  • New fiber origination connection at the Library

  • Senior Discount of $2 per month off Digital Starter for ages 65 or older

  • Comcast agrees to maintain conveniently located customer service office
