Welcome

The Local Cultural Council (LCC) Program is the largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation supporting thousands of community-based projects in the arts, humanities, and sciences annually. The Newburyport Cultural Council has $5,800 to be granted for FY 2010. Applications for this round of funding were due October 15, 2009.

Local Guidelines:
The Newburyport Cultural Council, when considering grant applications submitted to it, gives special weight and preference to applications from Newburyport organizations and individuals, although all applications are considered and read with equal care. Particular favor is also given to events scheduled to take place at handicapped-accessible sites. Among the items we look for with special interest are complete, coherent and legible application forms; attention to such relevant details as event dates, times, and sites; full and balanced budget information; and support materials attesting to the identity, credentials, and "track record" of groups and performers seeking funding from us. Applications incompletely or hastily filled out, or accompanied by scanty support materials, are a waste of your time and ours: please take the time to make your application count.
